Metro South Health’s Logan Hospital Palliative Care unit launches PatientVR

Metro South Health’s Logan Hospital Palliative Care unit has recently adopted PatientVR, an innovative program designed to enhance end-of-life care experiences through virtual reality. This cutting-edge technology aims to provide comfort, engagement, and therapeutic benefits to patients, empowering them with immersive experiences during their most vulnerable moments.

Nurse Unit Manager Gillian Myles highlighted the growing momentum in integrating technology, such as virtual reality (VR), into patient treatment and end-of-life care. Gillian also said “Advancements in digital solutions were reshaping the healthcare landscape to the benefit of those receiving care”
